SKEGNESS  From   Fri 16th April 2010  to Mon 19th April 2010

Skegness

Skegness is probably the most popular seaside resort on the Lincolnshire coast. It has miles of golden beaches for you to enjoy along with the bracing sea air. The popularity of this resort has grown since the 1900's. It was thought to be at the height of its popularity in the 1920's and 30's. Skegness has its own illuminations running from July to October. There are plenty of attractions to capture your imagination like the Church Farm Museum where you can see a wonderful exhibition of past life in Lincolnshire. A mile or so along the coast at Ingoldmells is Fantasy Island shops and a fun fair.

Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve is the ideal place for a gentle stroll whilst admiring the unspoilt natural beauty. Join in the bustle of the seaside town on a tour of the market and the many shops and maybe pick up some bargains. Skegness offers a wide variety of restaurants, pubs and clubs including a theatre that hosts many shows starring famous celebrities. Modes of transport for your enjoyment include a land train, horse-drawn carriages and boats on the boating lake. Whether crazy golf, arcades, the famous Seal Sanctuary or country walks takes your fancy Skegness can provide it all.
